In this first part of 5 lectures, Dr. Baker dives deeply into both the meaning of Taurus and then Cancer on the Ascendant and into the newly invented by Dr. Baker and Claregate College, The Claregate Method of permutations. He begins by using lines from the poem, The Deserted Village, by Oliver Goldsmith and translating them into astrological glyphs. He insists that this makes astrology so much easier to learn. The power of poetry on many esoteric levels is also a major topic in this tape. He suggests the use of Ray colors when putting his permutations up on the board. By using Taurus Rising and then Cancer Rising, he extracts a couple of different aspects from a chart and applies them to the poem at hand as well as several other poems.
