In this first of a three-part series, Dr. Baker dissects the birth chart of the United States. In the process he compares the USA and the UKs Souls Purposes and their personalities. He discusses how he approaches a chart and how to pull an aspect to work with, then begins basic permutations, the Claregate Method of writing out whole sentences then adding glyphs from the chart in such a way that it is an astrological interpretation. He encourages the students to open their minds in how they use words, morphology and symbolism. Many meanings of many of the signs and planets come out in this discussion. (55 min., Oct. 14, 1979)
